our story.
Dreams don't work unless you do.
DreamWorks Builders started in 2018 with commercial tenant improvements and a crew that treated every job like the one that would make or break us. Because it was. Word spread. Clients came back and brought the next project with them.
Today, nearly everything we build still comes through those relationships. We build from the ground up now. Office and retail buildings, franchise roll-outs for national brands, concrete tilt-ups, beyond 280,000 square feet, and public facilities for Utah communities. We are licensed and have completed projects in 22 states, with more than 30 people on the team and $10 million in bonding capacity behind every contract. No project is too big. No project is too small. If you can dream it, we can build it. What hasn’t changed is how we work.
As Michael likes to say, teamwork makes the dream work. Communication, dedication, morals, ethics, and loyalty are the keys to our success. We are a family, and every client is an extension of that family. We don’t take that lightly. You are the reason we do this. Together, we’ll make dreams come true.

A DREAM BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP.
DreamWorks is founded
Michael Moran starts DreamWorks with a focus on commercial tenant improvements. Woodbury Corporation takes a chance on the new company and hands us our first opportunity.
National brands come calling
Retail and restaurant buildouts for Marco’s Pizza, Papa Murphy’s, Subway, Cafe Rio, and Black Rifle Coffee build a reputation for on-brand, on-time delivery. Industrial TI work grows past a million square feet.
Ground-up and concrete tilt
DreamWorks moves beyond improvements into ground-up construction and concrete tilt-up, adding the pre-construction, estimating, and self-perform capability to take a building from dirt to keys.
DreamWorks Builders
DreamWorks Contractors becomes DreamWorks Builders and moves into a new headquarters, with a team of more than 30 and bonding capacity of $10 million.
Our biggest build project yet.
DreamWorks tilts up a single building of more than 280,000 square feet, over twice the size of an average Sam’s Club, and passes two million square feet of total tilt experience. TI of 280,000 s.f.
Launch of Public works Division
DreamWorks dedicates a full team to public work, increases bonding capacity, earns State of Utah and DFCM pre-qualification, and breaks ground on the Genola Public Works Building, its first public project. Six buildings in two years for Woodbury and a fourth Take 5 location round out the year.
